
Hypoxia is a critical hallmark of solid tumors and involves enhanced cancer cells survival, angiogenesis, glycolytic metabolism, and metastasis. Cancer & Hypoxia
Solid tumors often contain areas of acute or chronic hypoxia. Adaptation to the hypoxic microenvironment allows cancer cells to survive and proliferate. More recently, hypoxia has been proven to be a causative factor in many pathophysiological events, including cancer progression.
